FROM THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
A quick call for writers
By David Gewirtz

Wanna be famous? Consider writing for Computing Unplugged. We've got a bunch of great writers moving over from PalmPower to Computing Unplugged, but since the magazine covers a lot more than Palm, we'd like to encourage other folks to submit articles.

If you'd like to write for us, here's what we're going to be covering:

  • PDAs and GPSs (and other things with fun acronyms);
  • Digital cameras and camcorders;
  • Music and MP3 players;
  • Handheld and mobile gaming;
  • Wireless WiFi, 802.11abcdefg, Bluetooth, and other tech;
  • Unplugged in the enterprise;
  • Computing in cars;
  • Home entertainment, home automation, and even remote controls;
  • Computers, of course, but only those that are unplugged;
  • Cell phones (and whatever they're becoming);
  • Internet technology;
  • Cabling, robotics, and much, much more.

To learn more about writing for Computing Unplugged or any other ZATZ publication, please visit http://www.authorpower.com, our global community for ZATZ authors and editors. There, you'll find guidelines for getting started, some of our stylistic rules, and a whole lot of great ideas for new authors.

And, of course, you're always welcome to contact me directly at david@ZATZ.com or Senior Editor Steve Niles at steve_niles@ZATZ.com with any questions or article ideas you want to discuss.

For more than 20 years, David Gewirtz, the author of Where Have All The Emails Gone? and The Flexible Enterprise has analyzed current, historical, and emerging issues relating to technology, competitiveness, and policy. David is the Editor-in-Chief of the ZATZ magazines, is the Cyberterrorism Advisor for the International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals, and can be reached via email at david@zatz.com.
