I, ROBOT
Are you into robots?
By David Gewirtz

Are you into robots? If so, and if you can write, consider submitting an article to Computing Unplugged. We want to add more coverage of robotics to the magazine, but we need some serious "robot geeks" to help get us started.

Coverage can be on anything from industrial robots to Lego Mindstorms, and anything in between. We can't think of a more unplugged form of computing than robots, and this is your chance to tell the world about what you've been up to or the new toys that turn you on.

If you're interested in writing (and even if the topic isn't robotics), please visit http://www.authorpower.com and read our writer guidelines. You can also contact me directly at david@ZATZ.com and share your ideas or ask any questions you might have.

Tablet PC update
Those of you who know me know I love my Acer Tablet PC, warts and all. Well, the C100 went completely nuts this week, totally flaking out. Fortunately, it's under warranty, so it's been sent in for warranty repair.

The Acer's fit and finish is a bit weak, and it looks like something went wrong or a wire crossed on the flip-around screen, because any time the stylus was used on the screen, the Tablet PC completely lost control of its input event stream. Stay tuned. I'll tell you how it turns out when I get the machine back.

Take care!
David
