Moving beyond the battery (continued)

I sure want to believe that such a green technology breakthrough is right around the corner. But I remember feeling decidedly underwhelmed about seven years ago, when inventor Dean Kamen finally unveiled his top-secret project, code-named Ginger.

Ginger, too, was hyped as a game-changer that would revolutionize transportation and our daily lives. What was Ginger? An expensive scooter that eventually became the Segway. Feh.

So, I'm withholding judgement until the first EEStor-powered ZENN car rolls off the assembly line. Only then can we confirm if we're witnessing (if you'll pardon a horrific pun) EEStor-y in the making.
